Clockwork Evolution (this website) is my own website, and my latest. In part it's intention is to help me learn new techniques, while at the same time hopefully help others too. The discussion area isn't up and functioning properly just yet, and is unlikely to be open to the general public for quite a while. However it uses Lussumo Vanilla, and is something that I plan to work on a bit to get it sufficiently modded to use more specifically for support, etc.

    fusionsite.co.uk image

This is an incarnation of my first website, and implements Strict XTML and CSS for the design, as well as being about 60% database driven (PHP and MySQL). Its main focus is now guitarists, and much of the content that was here may well be shifted across here to help focus both sites.

This is a PHPBB based site, and is purely for invited members to develop creative writing, and also for me to learn forum technologies and administration.

A few older websites that I've done work for

Other intranet/CD-ROM based projects

BNFL (British Nuclear Fuels)

  • Intranet training for 5000 members of staff (Flash, ASP and MS Access)

Including sections with textually bulleted audio, video clips, and assessed sections (all employees had to sit the course to access certain areas on-site). The assessments were presented in Flash, and pulled randomly from banks of questions in an access database.
  • NHS
    nhs image
A few projects for a company called FAST for projects pitched for healthcare in the NHS integrated with AICC HACP for an LMS (Learning Management System). I also developed a SCORM (another e-training standard) compliant version of this. These projects were interactive training programmes to work on an intranet, and had a lot of video and audio content as well as various question types (multiple-choice, fill the missing gap, put into the correct order, select x out of y options, etc).
  • "Ride Of Life"
    Ride Of Life

A small Flash project, of which I did all the coding and a couple of sequences for.

History

I've been programming professionally since the early 90s, originally cutting my teeth by coding on the Acorn Electron back in the early 1980s, and though:

  • COBOL, ADA, Pascal (A few DOS based games - which are on my website), C++ (currently working on Windows based 2D games - using HGE and Allegro), Delphi (I've written several stock-control, customer invoicing programs in Delphi) VB (quite a lot of coding for ASP pages - including the BNFL project above) and currently I use many web languages like PHP.
